ST. PARIS — Organizers of a local fall festival announced the creation of a steering group whose only job is to decide which subcommittees are needed, a process described as “taking ownership of the chaos” in a village that already has strong opinions about parking on W. Main and Springfield Street.

“Last year we just winged the parking by the bank,” said a volunteer near First Central National Bank. “This year we will form a parking values task force.”

No one has volunteered to chair trash yet. Historians note this is always the case and always will be, even after Falcons homecoming.
