MECHANICSBURG — Several parents expressed outrage Monday after a 10U Indians baseball game began at the scheduled time near the High Street school complex, catching multiple families mid-parking-lot sandwich situation.
“We’ve never started on time in three seasons,” said one mother, balancing a folding chair and a cooler. “This feels like a personal attack.”
Coaches said they were experimenting with “respecting the clock,” a concept players seemed fine with and adults experienced as chaos.
A petition to return to the traditional 18-minute soft open is said to be circulating in the group chat next to arguments about spirit wear colors.
